MEET OLIVER – Young adult male, perhaps 2 or 3 years of age, running loose for a long time when owner moved away. His short coat is merle in red and white, reminiscent of ACD (American Cattle Dog) in body and face, with some pit mixed in. He probably weighs 45 lbs or so. Evaluated 2/20/10.

He was horribly emaciated and had lots of scars (I included a pic of when of when he was first found, he's since gained about 15 lbs). We introduced him to our resident dogs very slowly over a few weeks. He has had no issues and loves playing with them. He happily shares food and loves to cuddle with the other dogs. This wonderful dog is available at Metro Animal Services in Louisville, KY. I personally went to visit him and played with him for about two hours today. He has no aggressive bone in his body. Daisy is our new foster pit pup. She's about 3 months old. She needs to put some weight on, but seems healthy. She was very traumatized but she loves to sit in your lap and cuddle. Winston is about a year old, he's neutered, treated for fleas, and has his rabies shot. He gets along great with 5 of our dogs, but doesn't like our little nippy dog (chi/westie). Kia is currently in the Wylie Animal Shelter in Wylie, TX. I am going to be volunteering for them, and I came across her. She is a beautiful little girl and needs to be adopted, because time will run out! She is very young, but because she is an APBT people are avoiding her! **Update 07/03/2009** Mickey had his surgery on June 24th and is recovering nicely! He goes back on Wednesday, July 8th to have his stitches removed. Once we get a better idea on how well he'll continue healing, we can move forward with his heartworm treatments

Lindy is an awesome girl. She loves the water! I can't keep her out of it! She has been with me for 7 months now with her brother Lonnie. I haven't had anyone interested in adopting her. I can't believe it because she is so great. She needs to be an only dog though. UTD on all shots, spayed, and on heartworm prevention.
