I understand how this looks with it being my first post and all, but I have never even thought of a forum for our pitties. Well, this breaks my heart, but it has gotten to the point where we don't know what else to do. Unfortunately, we have gotten to a point where we are unable to give her what she needs to live a good quality life. She is a 2 year old pure blooded pit bull. She has some fear aggression (found out it wasn't dog aggression). Her fear aggression comes from being afraid of being... [Read More]

This is Jenny. She is a twelve week old American Staffordshire / Lab mix. At such a young age, she is extremely playful and curious. She loves other dogs, and any person who crosses her path instantly becomes her best friend. Jenny was rescued from the home of a mentally disabled man (also a convicted felon). She had been left outside without shelter. Her only food was whatever was left over after the other dog (German Shepherd/Wolf) finished. Her only water came from a broken sewer... [Read More]

When Pip was found as a stray he was emaciated, filthy and had a terrible case of mange. His chances were slim. And just because he might (might!) have some pit bull in him this was another problem -- no one to love him. Fortunately he was rescued by a true animal lover and is very much on the road to good health. His fur is coming back in and he is looking good! He is house trained; crate trained and loves other dogs. He is a natural on the leash, has great recall and doesn't even jump on the... [Read More]

Nonny was found hiding between two houses. Initially she was scared but warmed up right away when she realized it was friend not foe. She was very thin, hungry, thirsty and tired. Covered in fleas. She’s all better now and ready to find a home. Nonny is a sweet girl – just wants to play! She is well socialized to people and dogs. Cats are something to chase. Nonny has her basic obedience commands down pat and is ready to learn some more complex tricks. She is a smart dog and truly... [Read More]

I was one pitiful pup when I was found wandering the streets. I had been given a collar, but not a whole lot of love. My nickname was “Skinny Minnie” and for good reason…I was barely more than a skeleton. Some kind people gave me a lot of yummy meals, a fresh start on life, and even some amazing trips to the beach that I LOVED! I’m hoping to find my forever family now. I’ll make the most loyal family dog, I’m even great around toddlers! Come see what a good girl I am. XOXO, Minnie ... [Read More]

Lola is looking for a home to call her own. Lola is a stunning brindle pit bull – a real sweetheart. Lola was riding in the bed of a truck; as the truck rounded a curve Lola fell out, but the driver kept going! Someone followed the truck and watched the driver pull into a gas station and start pumping gas not the least bit concerned. He appeared to be a bit of an unsavory looking character! Lola was very malnourished so everyone decided she was lucky to have fallen out of that truck! Lola... [Read More]

Buddy is one of a litter of seven pups that were generously taken in by Guardian Pit Bull Rescue. He is currently residing in my home as a foster living with 3 Labs, a Pit Bull, and a toddler. So he's getting alot of interaction! He has funny ears and loves a good wrestle with his foster brothers early in the morning. He has the best parts of puppyhood...wiggly booty and loves to cuddle. He will also settle nicely in his crate and has learned to sleep there overnight or while left at home... [Read More]

Im in Arizona
both are spayed and microchip.
4 year old is White with black spots and a stray that found me in a store when she was 3 months old. She is a spaz and loves people attention from ANYONE. Angel is a 12 month old male Pit/Pit Mix. He is large at approx 70lbs. He is very people friendly and does well with most female dogs. He will most likely need to be the only male dog in the house. He is dominant. He will need to be placed with someone who has dog experience and will continue his training. He has been professionally evaluated/trained by a facility here in Houston. They have all raved about what a wonderful dog he is but that he needs a strong leader who can set boundaries for... [Read More]

We adopted Kush on a temporary basis from her original owner, who moved into an apartment that accepted dogs, only to discover that they don't allow pits.
We have had Kush since December and have been working with her to provide training. She is very receptive and generally well-behaved. She sits and stays and walks moderately-well on a leash. She is also crate-trained.
She is moderately dog aggressive (dominance behavior) and is not good with cats. We unfortunately have a cat, so we rea... [Read More]

Sally was found abandoned outside of Lubbock. She sat on the side of the road for 3 days waiting for her owners to come get her.
She was picked up by Animal Control. I picked her up from there & took her to Saving Grace.
She has been there for 3 years. We think that she was 3 years old when I found her.
She has some obedience training. She also loves to sit-up & shake hands.
She's a wonderful dog, needing a special home. She needs to be in a home all by herself because she... [Read More]

Patches was dumped along with her mother and littermate at an industrial facility on the Houston ship Channel. After days of looking for rescues to take the three in with no luck, they were brought to our home as foster dogs. We accepted the help of Friendsforlife, www.nokill1.org, to assist us with properly placing her in a suitable home. She is UTD on shots (3yr Rabies), spayed, HW negative, on flea/HW preventative, and is microchipped. We have been working on her basic manners living... [Read More]

Sassy was found at an industrial site on the Houston Ship Channel with two 10 mos old pups. She was very emaciated and covered with fleas. We have had her 1.5 mos and are prepping her to find her own special home. She has tested HW positive so when won't be ready for a new home until her treatment and recovery are complete. She is extremely laid back. Loves to be with her people. Great with other dogs and kids (she lives with 3 Labs, 1 of her pups, and a 2 yr old currently). She is the sweetest... [Read More]

I'm posting this to help out my stepdad.
He got saddled with this dog when his son got evicted w/ the promise it would be temporary. that was almost a year ago. the son has since moved onto a college campus, become a daddy, and plans on moving out of state --- probably to denver of all places. needless to say, he doesn't plan on ever taking Cobe back.
My stepdad has done what he could to keep Cobe, but with recent surgeries and failing health and finances, it's come down to this. he call... [Read More]

I found this girl while driving around. She was walking around in front of a gas station looking for food. She was pretty thin. She wasn't sure if she should come when i called her but you could see that she really wanted to. She got over it and was excited to be with us. She jumped right in the car and shes been with us every since. Problem is, we have way too many dogs already and have no room for her. Shes living in a kennel at the clinic where my girlfriend works. Its a terrible way for... [Read More]

I cry as I write this, so please know how very dear this little girl is to me. Her name is Kaitie (yes thats the correct spelling, but I guess you can change it when she becomes yours) She is one years old, up to date on her shots and spayed. We have to find her a new home because my family practically runs a cat rehabilitation center, all of the cats in the world find their way home here somehow! But we found out this morning that she is not a dog that can live in peace with cats, she had one... [Read More]

I got a letter and then a phone call from a lady in CA who has a friend in TX that is in serious need to place 2 APBT's. This lady's relative pasted away and left the 2 dogs without a home and the relatives are not able to care for them. They were house dogs! 1 male and 1 female from what was told to me, under 5 years old. A foster home until a forever home is found is needed ASAP! The family will put these poor dogs down very soon if help is not found for them. Spindletop phone... [Read More]

We found Ella on a ranch about two weeks ago. She was injured and the temp was going down to 13 degrees! Her eye was badly injured and she needed medical attention. A great vet got her into good shape. She is very sweet and loving. She will be a great loyal pet. She is not good with cats and I think she'll do well with other dogs. My other dog is very alpha so we havent let them interact much. She had a short interaction with a 5 year old and just wanted to play and be loved on. She should do... [Read More]

When the babies came (all 12 of them) I posted their pictures a while back. Now 4 months later Momma and 4 babies still need that forever home.
Momma is estimated to between 1 and 2 years old. She is a big sweet heart and after the puppies started to wean her personalty came to life. She hops and play... [Read More]

Austin is a foster dog that I have taken in. He came from the Shelter in Saginaw TX. He is just a really big sweetheart and just needs a family to love. He gets along great with all female dogs and some male dogs. He is not good at all with other dominate dogs or unfixed male dogs.
We don't have cats so we are not sure about them. He loves kids he's been around kid’s ages 4-11 years old and is great but could easily knock them over because of his size.

This sweet little girl truly has had a rough life. She was picked up by animal control when she was just 6 months old and then spent 5 months there. She is such a gentle little girl that she was constantly beaten up in the very overcrowded shelter. Luckily; she is now being fostered in my home. She is completely housebroken, doesn't chew on anything, never runs in the house or jumps on furniture. What a true little lady! Alexz gets along well with all other dogs and children. Fully vetted... [Read More]

Tupper has a very sad story. He was a young puppy in animal control and was lucky enough to get picked up by a no-kill shelter where he spent the next 2 years of his life. This poor guy never had a home until recently. He's now in foster care and doing very well.
He will walk on his leash without pulling, is house trained, crate trained and knows a lot of commands. He's a medium energy dog- he'll play for a while, but after a bit, he'll usually just pick up a toy, lay down and chew on it... [Read More]
