Dogs That Changed the World
This 2-part series by PBS isn't Pit Bull specific, but discusses current theories about the 15,000 co-evolution of dogs and man from the domestication of the wolf up to the emergence of the hundreds of modern dog breeds.
However, they do illuminate the many misconceptions about canine behavior (and misbehavior) and posit it as a result of a major disconnect between the modern man, who for the most part seems to want an instantly obedient warm and furry housepet with little or no effort on their part, and modern dogs, many of which have been bred for hundreds or thousands of years for very specific tasks. I found it fascinating and have watched it several times.
You can view some highlights of the documentary on the PBS website at: http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/episo...oduction/1273/
Or you purchase the DVD here: http://www.publicvideostore.org/prod...FQ89awod12y0Tg
Check it out. I highly recommend it!
