Pit Bulls for Dumies
This is an EXCELLENT book for people who know NOTHING about APBT and even the experts.
I've had over 30 APBT and I've learned a lot from this book

I read one of these books for Greyhounds and it was very good. They are easy to read and very informative.

I enjoyed the book, personaly... I thought people interested in bully breeds would learn alot from this book. I thought it was very technical.

Re: Pit Bulls for Dumies
I beg to differ. That book has some good info on BASIC dog ownership and care.
But it really didnt have to much info on the apbt breed itself..
They had some INCORRECT info on their such as..
They think a dog can be proven game in weight pulling competitions.
It says the weight pulling record is 2,000 lb's which has to be out dated.... I'v seen dogs pull 10,000 lb's before...
And it gives a method to break up dog fighting that DOES NOT work with pit bull type dogs.. They should of mentioned a breaking stick. I forgot which method they said but it wont work with an apbt... they gave the ways to break up a fight that work with other breeds, not with pit bulls. It's been so long since I read it though that I can't remember the exact advice. I only remember that I didn't like it
But dont get me wrong. I'd say the book is pretty decent.. But i would not say its EXCELLENT for an apbt book.
But a decent book. Not recommended though imo though if you want to learn more about the apbt breed and more specific stuff..
